October Small Group Activities

Sewing
Wednesday, October 7th @ 10 AM
Self-binding receiving blankets. Meet in Cultural Hall and bring: 2 one-yard pieces of coordinating flannel (at least 40” each) and matching thread. Optional items to bring: sewing machine, cutting mat and any other quilting supplies. Very easy--should take less than two hours!

  • 1st - Heidelberg Pastry Shoppe & Strawberry Cottage Park ~ 2150 N Culpeper St. Meet at Heidelberg Pastry Shoppe and pick out a “sehr gut” treat or enjoy a free chocolate chip cookie. Then join us at Strawberry Cottage Park (turn onto 21st Street N from Culpeper) for some “spielen".
  • 8th - Cox Farms ~ 15621 Braddock Rd., Centreville
    Bring all the kids (Arlington elem. schools out for Parent Teacher Conf.)! Giant gunny sack slides, hayrides, rope swings, food, play area for kids under 5 and more! Admission is $9 (includes a take home pumpkin); children under 2 are free. Meet at the Windmill Meeting Point at admissions.
  • 22nd - Lyon Village Playground & The Italian Store ~ 1800 N. Highland St., 22201 Meet at the Lyon Village Playground for some “divertimento” and then on over to the Italian Store (Lyon Village Shopping Center, 3123 Lee Hwy) for a “molto buono” lunch!
  • 29th - Pastries by Randolph & Woodstock Park ~ 2049 N. Woodstock
    Meet at Pastries by Randolph (4500 Lee Highway) for a “très bon” French delight and then join us down the street for some “rigolo”!
